Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Hosts First GED Graduation Ceremony of the Year to Support Detainee Rehabilitation and Reduce Recidivism


MARIETTA, GA (Mar. 11, 2025) – The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Anderson Training Institute, will celebrate the achievements of nine individuals who have successfully completed the GED program at a graduation ceremony inside the Adult Detention Center on March 11, 2025.

This milestone marks the first GED graduation of the year, highlighting the sheriff’s office’s commitment to providing educational opportunities that empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed for future job prospects. By equipping participants with a solid educational foundation, the program plays a vital role in supporting successful reintegration and reducing recidivism.
