The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is committed to giving the most professional, fair, and impartial law enforcement and detention operations possible while ensuring accountability, respect, and community-oriented partnership.

In November 2020, Owens made history by becoming the first African-American elected to be sheriff of Cobb County. Running on a platform of truth, trust, and transparency.

Engagement

Community Engagement is at the core of our work at the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. The Community Engagement team works closely with churches and other religious groups, civic organizations, schools, and others to strengthen ties and restore trust between the community and law enforcement.

Cobb Sheriff's Foundation

The Cobb Sheriff's Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of Cobb County through community engagement, education, and charitable initiatives. By fostering positive relationships between the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and the communities it serves, the Foundation supports events and programs that make a meaningful impact. With the help of donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the Foundation strives to improve lives and strengthen community bonds.
